Since the new classification of formaldehyde as a Type 1B Carcinogen<\/mark><\/strong>took place, several scientific papers have been published studying the exposure of medical and nursing staff to its toxic fumes in relation to the health effects of this exposure. A notable paper is the one concerning the exposure of the nursing staff at the \"Citt\u00e0 della Salute e della Scienza\" hospital in Turin, Italy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also in Portugal, research was conducted and subsequently published, which examines the exposure to formaldehyde of two different groups of workers: those employed in the industry and those working in the country's pathological laboratories. The study concludes that the long-term daily exposure of workers to formaldehyde vapors increases the risk of health damage and recommends the adoption of protective measures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
